Saunders House and Bryn Mawr Terrace are senior care facilities operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  They are located in the western suburbs of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  They needed a technology upgrade to help them tie their facility’s telecommunications together, manage a high volume of incoming calls, and provide each of the 500 resident phones a separate line without spending a lot of money.

Utilizing the existing copper wiring infrastructure within both facilities ESP was able to save the client money and install a Hosted PBX and SIP Trunking VoIP solution. Each of the 500 resident phones, using the existing copper pair wiring, now has a single line set connected to the SIP trunking.  This solution gives each of the 500 phones a separate dial tone.

The facilities now have Mobile Twinning enabling the front desk person to have their mobile phone ring when their desk phone rings so they never miss a call, even if they’ve been pulled away from their desk. This capability also has the option of routing calls to the overhead paging to announce when an incoming call.  Extensions have been added to unify and connect the facilities. Calls can now be rerouted to other extensions after a couple of rings so important calls are never missed.
