FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
ESP Delivers, LLC (ESP)
PHILADELPHIA, PA.

Recently ESP upgraded the features that are available to all customers. These features are available immediately, and are available to all customers at no additional cost.ESP is proud to announce the following new features are available immediately for customer use:

  • Extension to Extension “Intercom”
  • Seven Digit Dialing
  • Disable Call Waiting Tone
  • Disable Missed Call List
  • Transfer Direct to Voicemail
  • Presence (“Buddies”) on Polycom™ Phones
  • Customer control of On-Demand Paths

Extension to Extension “Intercom”

Users can now dial *1 + another user’s extension to activate the “Intercom” feature of Polycom™ phones. This will initiate a call to the dialed extension, whose phone will automatically answer the call and activate the speakerphone after a short ring tone. This is very similar to an intercom system.

Seven Digit Dialing

The ESP PBX can now be configured for 7 digit, local-area dialing.  Instead of requiring the user to dial 10 digits for local calls, the caller can now dial the number without the area code in the local calling area. This standard feature requires activation via the ESP Customer Portal.

Disable Call Waiting Tone

Polycom™ phones may now be configured to disable the in-call call waiting beep. This feature can be enabled on a phone by phone basis via the ESP Customer Portal and requires the phone to be rebooted in order for changes to take effect.

Disable Missed Call List

Polycom™ phones may now be configured to disable the Missed Calls list that appears on the phone’s LCD display. This feature can be enabled on a phone by phone basis via the ESP Customer Portal and requires the phone to be rebooted in order for changes to take effect.

Transfer Direct to Voicemail

Users may now dial extension + * to transfer the current call directly to another user’s voice mailbox. This will bypass the ringing of the other user’s phone and send the caller directly to the mailbox announcement. This standard feature is always available and does not require configuration.

Presence (“Buddies”) on Polycom™ Phones

Polycom™ phones have the capability of reporting to one another when other users are in active phone calls. Users will set up the “Buddy List” feature on their Polycom™ phone and add a “Watch” to Buddies they’d like to monitor. If their Buddy is on an active phone call, their status will be displayed as Busy. This feature can be enabled on a phone by phone basis via the ESP Customer Portal and requires the phone to be rebooted in order for changes to take effect.

Customer control of On-Demand Paths

ESP customers may now change the maximum number of On-Demand Virtual Paths available on their account via the ESP Customer Portal. This is the number of “burstable” Virtual Paths available on your account above the number of pre-paid Virtual Paths. Please note that On-Demand Paths are charged to your account when and if used, per the terms of your agreement with ESP Delivers, LLC.
If you have any questions on how to utilize the above features, please call or email ESP support.
